An Investigation on the Support System for Special Children Learning in Regular Classes in Rural Areas

AbstractObjective:To investigate the current situation and existing problems of government support, community support, family support, school support, and self support of special children learning in regular classes in rural areas so as to explore measures of solving those problems. Methods: Testing teachers, normal students and their parents, special children learning in regular classes and their parents in a county by use of self-made questionnaire. Results: The family support system and school support system are relatively sound; government pays due attention to financial support; community support is not enough; and special children learning in regular classes have relatively low self-expectation. Conclusion: Dissemination should be accelerated in government support; there is much room for resource rooms and resource teachers to improve in school support system; and community support needs to be strengthened.
