  Positive Psychological Character of Special Education
   Teachers and Its Influence on Outcome Variables

  AbstractTo explore the positive psychological character ofspecial education t eachers and its influence on outcome variables, 114 special education teachers a re measured, and the results show that: (1) Special education teachers have medi um level of engagement, and scores of three dimensions from the highest to the l owest ar e: dedication,absorption and vigor.(2)There are no significant differences ingeneral engagement and each dimension of male teachers and female teachers. ( 3) T eachers who have more than ten years' teaching experience have significant lowerscores than teachers who have less than five years' teaching experience in thedimensions of vigor, dedication and absorption. (4) Engagement has positive infl uence on teachers' life satisfaction, job satisfaction and work achievements, an d has negative influence on intention to quit the job.
