	流水长?边疆远 ——谁说“历劫之后相爱的才得欢聚”？ Running Water Runs & Border Land Afar — Who says “lovers cannot get together until through disasters”? 　　 抖落郊区一抹晕霞 　　 A strip of giddy rosy clouds are shaken off 　　 在鸦飞翅膀下消退 　　 Fading away under wings of the raven 　　 在村落土狗哀号中 　　 In the howling and wailing of village dogs 　　 袭上一片昏沉沉 　　 Everything is dimmed and muddled 　　 路上人影渐渐隐退 　　 The form of people on the way is disappearing 　　 十二月的寒流 　　 The cold current of December 　　 拥著北风践踏在田径肠道 　　 Is embracing the north wind and treading on track and field 　　 冻得路边小草发抖 　　 The roadside grass is shivering and quivering 　　 冻得村里破旧屋宇 　　 Old houses of the village are frozen 　　 哀哀彻夜的旋弹 　　 To groan and moan all through the night 　　 冷风彻骨的逼迫 　　 The cold wind threatens and stings the bone 　　 几个小童哆嗦躲在屋里 　　 Several children are trembling in the corner of the house 　　 在熊熊燃烧柴薪的灶边 　　 By the kitchen range burning with firewood 　　 一个绑著辫子的女孩 　　 A girl who wears her hair in plaits 　　 默默然地忙开来 　　 Is busy silently 　　 在煮暖带回来的賸饭 　　 The remnant meal is brought back 　　 姐姐：我冷哦！ 　　 Sister: I’m cold! 　　 姐姐：我饿嘛！ 　　 Sister: I’m hungry! 　　 嘘！乖乖，就要好吃了 　　 Sh! Baby, to be well fed 　　 指指灶上黑黑的锅子 　　 Pointing to the black pot on the kitchen 　　 忽然房中传来 　　 From the room suddenly 　　 沉沉一声轻咳 　　 There comes a gentle cough 　　 忙著的女孩双手 　　 The busy hands of the girl 　　 微微颤动！忧容倾听 　　 Are slightly trembling! To listen with worrisome looks 　　 唉！响自心灵一声轻叹 　　 Alas! A gentle sigh from the soul 　　 是那年十二月的寒流 　　 It is the cold current of December of that year 　　 笼罩这间破落的屋宇 　　 That permeates the dilapidated house 　　 母亲即卧床不起 　　 Mother is bed-ridden 　　 她却代替呵护著弟妹 　　 But she keeps watch of brothers and sisters 　　 日日帮邻居叔叔下田去 　　 Who help neighborhood uncles do the farming 　 　晚晚换来一袋賸饭、零钱 　　 From night to night a bag of remnant meal and change are brought in 　　 零钱买零售的便药 　　 The change is used to buy medicine at retail shop 　　 喂给卧病的母亲吃 　　 For the ill mother to eat 　　 賸饭煮暖给弟妹充饥 　　 The remnant meal is warmed up to feed brothers and sisters 　　 如此苦涩的捱过日子 　　 Life is bitter and hard to fare 　　 一天又一天为弟妹 　　 From day to day to warm up 　　 煮暖那一锅冷饭 　　 The pot of meal for brothers and sisters 　　 为母亲买来了便药 　　 And medicine for Mother is bought 　　 但！永煮不暖这冷冽的北风 　　 But! The chilly north wind refuses to be warmed up 　　 但！远治不好母亲的病忧 　　 But! The illness of Mother is not cured 　　 北风一次次带来 　　 Time after time the north wind brings about 　　 边疆烽火烧焦的讯息 　　 The message of burning balefire in border land 　　 吹落簌簌的残叶 　　 Remnant leaves fall down shower after shower 　　 依稀母子 　　 Mother and son 　　 瑟缩于冷冽北风中 　　 Are shivering in icy-cold north wind 　　 焦虑地伫待门外 　　 Waiting anxiously outside the door 　　 蜿蜒远断的田径那头 　　 Beyond the serpentine track and field 　　 有人负著战斗精神归来吗？ 　　 Is there somebody who comes back in fighting spirit? 　　 北风又挟著寒流 　　 Along with cold current the north wind 　　 颳得母子即快要瘫痪了 　　 Is going to blow Mother and son into paralysis 　　 父亲啊！您，乘风远征去 　　 O Father! You go on an expedition by riding wind 　　 又一年了，您还不归来 　　 Another year lapses, but you fail to return 　　 谁在唱呀！谁在唱 　　 Who is singing! Who is singing 　　 流水长！边疆远 　　 Running water runs!
